When the reverse osmosis unit is not operating, scaling and fouling can occur, particularly on the concentrate side of the membrane. The concentrate flushing unit KSE prevents this by displacing the concentrate with the pressure of the feed water via an automatic bypass valve (solenoid valve) when the system is shut down. Flushing the membrane with raw water prevents concentrated salt loads from settling on the membrane surface.
The concentrate flushing unit is supplied pre-assembled with the reverse osmosis system.
