VIM Silt density index measuring device

Producer

The handheld measurement device is used for the manual measurement of the silt density index (SDI). The silt density index is a sum parameter and indicates the intensity with which blocking (fouling) of the modules of a reverse osmosis system is to be expected. Since the quality of water, such as well water, can fluctuate depending on the season, it is important to check the silt density index regularly.

The scope of supply includes a pressure reducing valve with manometer, control valve, filter housing, measuring cylinder 1,000 ml, and 100 membrane filter pads including the required connection fittings.

Benefits

  • Mobile measuring system
  • SDI calculations in a few minutes
  • Membranes for 100 tests included in scope of supply
  • Ideal for reverse osmosis systems

Applications

  • Measurement of the content of solids or suspended particles in the feed water of a reverse osmosis system
  • Protection of the RO membranes against fouling and thus securing their service life

Connection:
3/4" IG
Conditions of use:
If the blocking index is > 3, the raw water must be mixed with mains water, the pre-treatment must be improved, and /or the permeate yield must be reduced.
